Die drei Amtssitze der Vereinten Nationen in ihren Gastgeberstädten Wien, Nairobi und NYC sind Ausgangspunkt für die begehbare Installation UN.KNOWN SPACES der Berliner Künstler Janina Janke und Maurice de Martin auf dem Donauturm in Wien.
66 Lebensgeschichten erzählen vom Alltag in den Städten und dem kollektiven Ringen um Weltfrieden. In Bildern, Klängen, Texten und Objekten spannt sich ein informelles Netzwerk über drei Kontinente und erprobt darin das Wechselspiel zwischen Mikrokosmos Individuum und Makrokosmos globaler Organisation.
The headquarters of the United Nations located in Vienna, Nairobi and New York are the starting point of the walk-in installation UN.KNOWN SPACES by artists Janina Janke and Maurice de Martin, on display at the Danube Tower in Vienna.
66 stories of everyday life in these cities and the collective struggle for world peace are the theme of the installation. An informal network of images, sounds, texts and objects spans across three continents proving the track record of the interplay between the individual microcosm and a macrocosm of the global organization.
